Quake II RTX BFG Edition - Fixes - Reckoning Support - Ground Zero Support - 1.7.0
Mediafire: www.mediafire.com/file/51xom1k4peik7ep/Quake+II+RTX+BFG+build.zip/file
REQUIREMENTS: ALL QUAKE II GAMES! MUST OWN
Installation:
Install own digital purchase or disc source of the Quake II Software containing the original's data.
Install a base Quake II RTX installation with the proprietary version of Quake II. This is self-explanatory.
Install all acquired Quake II Mission Packs.
- The Reckoning -
Copy the pak0.pak from Quake II The Reckoning in the Quake II directory named xatrix along with the various other files.
Create a new folder in the Quake RTX directory named xatrix as well.
Paste these files into the newly created RTX folder.
- Ground Zero -
Repeat the steps from above for the second mission pack, replicating these in place of the file directory named rogue.
This will pertain to the RTX version.
Install gameplay fix to each owned mission pack.
- The Reckoning -
Extract the gamex86_64.dll from the RTX BFG Edition zip from the xatrix directory into the identical xatrix RTX directory.
- Ground Zero -
Extract the gamex86_64.dll for the corresponding rogue directory.
Install the new map fix to the Quake II: Ground Zero directory.
Copy the following directories: sky
Copy the following files: rlava1.cfg, rlava2.cfg, rsewer2.cfg, rware1.cfg, rware2.cfg
Paste them in the rogue directory under a map folder located inside the data depository.
Use the new flashlight command.
Insert the following commands into Quake II RTX's console:
bind o cl_flashlight 0
bind l cl_flashlight 1
bind x cl_flashlight_intensity 500000
Create shortcuts for each mission pack.
Use q2rtx binary for the basis creation of the shortcuts. Under shortcut properties, add "+set game xatrix" without parenthesis, then add the same syntax "+set game rogue" to the other shortcut.
You will now have the capability to run both mission packs. Quake II The Reckoning will run using "xatrix", the other mission pack with "rogue".
The game requires an identifier for each pack.
Carry the flashlight into the mission packs.
You'll need to see during dimly dark lit or pitch-black dominating sequences.
Again, insert the following commands into each game's console (~) with Quake II RTX running each time.
bind o cl_flashlight 0
bind l cl_flashlight 1
bind x cl_flashlight_intensity 500000
The x button will amplify the flashlight for the rest of the instances of it in Quake. The others to power on/off.
You will only need these commands entered once per edition. It will be stored to each config file every time it is entered.
This is the full guidance. Have fun with Quake II RTX 1.7.0 BFG Edition.
