Video by @bertiegregory | African wild dogs are prolific hunters. This pack’s territory is certainly not a good place to be Pumbaa (or, more surprisingly, a buffalo!). The dogs must hunt, though, to feed their 14 little pups. Years ago, the African wild dog population was estimated at over 500,000. Because of conflict with humans, fewer than 7,000 remain, making them one of Africa’s most endangered predators. So the survival of each of these pups is important. Catch the whole story in “Animals Up Close,” now streaming on @disneyplus.
